Ive Realized Lately…

That, obviously, I have not been on tumblr in a while and truly written anything of any importance to anyone. But more so, that when I come on here, Im forgetting why I started using this site for in the first place; to get things out of my head.

Today has put me in a very “think about your future”/be emotional state. Shocking. But true. I think this year I have come up against the harsh reality that life is not always going to be as easy as you thought it was going to be. Or in this case, that I thought it would be. Which isn’t a bad thing. In fact it’s great. Ive done a lot of growing up this year on several levels. Some of the things Ive learned:

  • Drama will find you even if you try your hardest to avoid it
  • It takes a big person to try and make things right, even if you know its going to blow up in your face
  • Growing up is hard, but its worth it
  • At the end of the day, you need to make sure you are doing things for YOU. Because in the end you are the only person who can make your self truly happy.
  • Trying to figure out what to do with your life confuses the shit out of you, but you will land on your feet if you trust your self.
  • Go out on a limb and just say how you feel. The outcome may surprise you. It sure surprised me.

I think for now Ill leave you all with this. But things are going okay. Its definitely a year of several firsts, but Im learning a lot, and learning who I am. Thats all that matters.

you have to get hurt. That’s how you learn. The strongest people out there, the ones who laugh the hardest with a genuine smile, those are the people who have fought the toughest battles. Because they’ve decided that they’re not going to let anything hold them down, they’re showing the world who’s boss.

Irene.

So as the peak of the storm is about to hover over good ol’ NH, I sit here with my dog and await the worst. In the mean time here is a list of things I have to do… because Im bored and if the power goes out I dont know what Im gonna do with my self.

  • Watch That ’70s Show on Youtube
  • Make lists of whats left to pack
  • Make other miscellaneous lists that I may need or actually are of no use to me at all
  • Play games on my Ipod
  • Finish packing things while looking back to one of my lists to make sure Im on top of things
  • If Im feeling really girly, paint my nails

Im really hoping this hurricane ends soon, with the power on, because list is just sad.
